Information Technology is Ohio’s response to the technology workforce shortage. CIT students learn on state-of-the-art equipment so they may stay on the leading edge of rapidly changing computer technologies.

The focus of this program is the information services and support area. CIT prepares students for careers dealing with information technology deployment and prepares them with the needed training to acquire key certifications.
 
Graduates are encouraged to further their education in the information technology field by attending a technical college or two- or four-year college or university.

Develop specialized skills in the following areas:

  • Programming (Java, Alice 3-D Modeling, PHP, Python)
  • Basic Networking
  • Operating systems
  • Web page design and mobile app development using (HTML5 and CSS)
  • Applications using Google Apps
  • Software development and management
  • Database application development utilizing PHP and MySQL
  • Technical assistance/computer user support
  • Hardware operation, and maintenance

BPABusiness Professionals of America is the leading CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.  BPA has 43,000 members in over 2,300 chapters in 23 states. BPA is a co-curricular organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards.
