Upper Valley College Connection

Upper Valley students find that their two years of high school easily lead to at least a two-year associate degree. Upper Valley seniors who qualify and continue their education at Edison Community College or Sinclair Community College may earn credit in some programs at both schools. This saves students both time and money. Some Upper Valley students attend college through the Post Secondary Enrollment Option Program (PSEOP) and receive both high school and college credit.

Scholarships from Upper Valley, Edison , Sinclair, associate school sources and employers are available to help students continue on to other colleges. Upper Valley completers entering the military service in a field related to their Upper Valley education are often awarded advanced standing. Qualifying College Tech Prep graduates are eligible for a scholarship for partial tuition at Edison Community College or Sinclair Community College.

Cost

At Upper Valley Career center, there is NO cost for tuition!

However there are expenses for items like tools, uniforms, workbooks and lab fees. Cost varies according to the program.

Tools are typically purchased the first year and vary in price. Upper Valley Career Center provides students with a tool list and a list of vendors. Upper Valley does not sell tools or tool kits for any program, but tool kits for most programs may be rented from Upper Valley.

Scholarships

Each year, successful Upper Valley graduates are awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships. Nearly 90 scholarships are available to qualifying Upper Valley students. In 2010 alone, Upper Valley students earned over $234,635 in scholarships!

Scholarship amounts vary and may include full tuition plus room/board and miscellaneous expenses. For additional scholarship information, contact Upper Valley counselor John Martin at 937.778.1980 EXT. 242.
