1:1 Laptop Phase in Begins
Exciting Technology Advancement at Upper Valley Career Center
The 1:1 laptop program begins this fall when all incoming juniors will receive an individual laptop for use throughout their time at Upper Valley Career Center. The school initiated a pilot program during the 2010/11 school year when students in four career and technical programs received laptops or netbooks.
The results from the pilot are in, and analysis indicates the use of laptops expanded learning beyond the school day and provided students access to current information resources. Personal access to technology also reduces textbooks, paper, and desktop computer costs.
It's a 1:1 win/win that supports the advancement of career and technology education at Upper Valley Career Center.
