Upper Valley Career Center Adult Division is launching a new initiative to assist those who are unemployed, underemployed, recently incarcerated, or under-represented. Through the Good Jobs Challenge Grant, individuals will earn a Certified Manufacturing Associate Credential (CMfgA) and work with a job coach to begin a new career in manufacturing.
What is This?
The Good Jobs Challenge Grant
Prepare and support individuals through the completion of the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) credential.
This is an industry certification focused on basic manufacturing concepts, demonstrating an individual's potential for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing roles.
Students Will Receive
Entry-level training for manufacturing positions.
Professional Workplace Skills “Soft Skills”
A career coach
Assistance in finding a job
Career Coaching Services Will Include:
Support throughout the entire training & employment process
Assistance to help participants overcome barriers to success
Goal setting and career mapping development
Individualized interview preparation and practice
Post-program follow-up and support
Successful Participants will Earn:
A UVCC Certificate for Career Readiness Training
ACT WorkKeys Credential for Workplace Readiness
Certified Manufacturing Associate Credential (CMfgA)
