The Upper Valley Career Center’s Adult Technology Center (ATC) is preparing for a major renovation that will modernize the facility and create a more welcoming, cohesive learning environment for adult students. The project is expected to be completed this fall.
The renovation will include significant upgrades to the ATC’s lecture hall, industrial labs and academic classrooms. New indoor and outdoor common spaces will also be added, providing students with additional areas to study, collaborate and work on projects outside of the classroom.
The project will also include updates to the exterior facade of the building, creating a more cohesive visual connection between the Adult Technology Center and the recently expanded main campus building which was completed in November 2025.
Built in 1992, the Adult Technology Center underwent its first renovations in 2021 to create additional office space to move supervisors from the Garby Building to the ATC. This second, more expansive renovation will provide much-needed updates throughout the facility while creating a more unified and modern environment for students, staff and visitors.

From the classrooms and labs to the new spaces for studying and collaboration, every part of the renovation is designed to support our students as they work toward their next opportunity.”
The renovation is being completed through a design-build process, with VSWC Architects serving as the criterion architect along with Brumbaugh Construction and RDA Group as the design-build team.
The ATC will remain operable throughout the construction process. UVCC Adult Education is currently enrolling for fall classes in all four industrial programs, as well as all nursing programs. To enroll or learn more about available programs, visit the UVCC website.
