Hayden Schmidt
Hayden is a junior HVAC/R student from Anna High School. He is also a standout runner on the Anna Rockets cross country team. Only two weeks into the season, Hayden broke the school’s 24 year old 5k record by nine seconds, with a time of 15:48!
Hayden is looking forward to the rest of the season, continually improving his time, and even making it to the state cross country meet with his team.
A Balance
Hayden loves running for Anna as well as attending school at the Career Center in Piqua. He says that balancing sports at his home school and attending UVCC is easy. He remains friends with his classmates at home, and really enjoys all that he is learning in his lab and academic classes.
Future Plans
Looking to the future, Hayden plans to attend college, although he’s not sure where just yet. He said that he chose to come to the Career Center because he felt that it was important to learn a skilled trade in addition to his college aspirations.
